Toy Story 5 (2026)

Toy Story 5 might not have been a totally necessary addition to the franchise, but it still works because these characters will always be awesome. The animation is beautiful, the humor lands, and I really liked seeing Jessie get more of the spotlight this time around. Giving another character the lead role helped it feel a little fresher, even if the franchise itself is already so complete. The message also feels pretty timely, and while it may not hit the emotional highs of the earlier films, that’s mostly because this series has set an almost unfair standard for itself.
Is it maybe the weakest Toy Story movie? Probably. But that says way more about how fucking good these movies are than it does about this one. Still a really good movie, and one I enjoyed quite a bit.
